Job Description

Role / Title

IT Business Intelligence, EMEA
  • This is a new role for KHC IT within EMEA. As such, the position holder will need to establish a process to identify management's intelligence needs. This includes gathering & analyzing business needs, developing strategy & plans and implementing projects to support desired outcomes. The right candidate will be an agent for change in the organization, willing to challenge the way in which we do things
  • The role will collaborate with many functions across the KH business – Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain to name a few. It requires the understanding of our business and the ability to build out BI capabilities to build insight.
  • The initial challenge is to ensure the operational excellence of the existing BI capabilities, understand the current estate in detail and work with the new global BI center of excellence. In parallel, you will work with EU Finance to deliver automation of standardized reporting across EMEA and drive adoption. From that base, you will also be expected to quickly lead the “step up” of capability in the areas of self-service reporting, visualization-based insight & predictive analytics; following the creation of business cases and prioritization of the requirements.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the IT BRMs across EMEA to ensure that the region's requirements (often tactical in nature) are being met as well as the functions' requirements. There is a need to take a global approach but to tailor to local requirements where essential
  • As an IT leader, this position is also expected to act in a client management and general IT leadership role towards client organizations.

Key Components of the role

This role will be accomplished by:
  • Identifying intelligence needs of each department/function through one-to-one communications of key employees; duties specific to this function may include the assessment of the following: what decisions need to be made, why decisions need to be made when decisions need to be made, and who will use the intelligence to make the decisions.
  • Manage regional and local BU stakeholders’ expectations and requirements for delivery of BI application services, acting as a single point of contact in the region.
  • Working with the Global Analytics team and our Centre of Excellence to align the approach and reapply best practices
  • Take what already exists in other regions and reapply as required (especially where tactical, fast solutions are needed)
  • Build a roadmap of where we are going with BI as a region, but align this globally.
  • Work with other capability owners to ensure BI is a part of their solution and not an afterthought. Be a driver for change in the organization and the way in which we use BI
  • Act as second level escalation point for business users and stakeholders for BI application services.
  • Low/medium levels of travel will be required.  Any travel should be aligned with Zone IT lead in advance.

Qualifications:

Technical skills relevant to the role
  • Expertise in business intelligence and management reporting/analytics domains
  • Experience of driving BI maturity in a FMCG/CPG environment is strongly desired
  • Understanding the difference between reporting and analytics and how to progress from the former to the latter
  • Understanding of the data and processes in at least one of the following areas: Revenue Management, Trade Funds, Financial Reporting, HR, Supply Chain
  • Experience in understanding & applying a wide variety of analytical processes to improve decision making
  • Experience with various product development techniques
  • A solid understanding of key BI trends

General Business & Management Skills
  • Extensive experience interacting & influencing C-levels executives & working in a multi-functional domain.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English where this is not a native language.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Diverse project management experience, including managing projects & project teams of different sizes and parallel working.
  • Proven ability to complete projects & deliver results in an ambiguous, fast paced work environment.
  • Proven strong leadership skills within the project team and in the business community.
  • Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies and track/measure results.
  • Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well communicated expectations.

  • Minimum of Bachelor degree in MIS or equivalent IT field experience required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT management experience supporting enterprise applications with a deep understanding of outsourced vendor management.
